Some high school. Was studying medicine at the time. Got into school late because she had to hold two jobs to support her and her brother before meeting Dr. Watanabe (detailed below)
Family
Her mother died when she was young and her father abandoned the family shortly thereafter. Her mother and father were the head researchers for Nyx looking into the blood abnormality nicknamed the “Red Disease”. After finding out and trying to hide a secret about the disease that could be exploited, the father was forced to kill the mother and abandon his two children. Spider Lily became independent at a young age to support herself and her brother going to school. She eventually dropped out and picked up two jobs, one as a waitress at a pub, another as a tutor for young kids, so she can support her brother’s education. At age 13 she suffered a heart attack brought on by high stress, the “Red” disease, and another unknown heart condition. She was on break at her job at the pub. She wasn’t feeling well so she stepped outside for some air. She collapsed in the alley. Dr. Watanabe happened to be walking by and performs life-saving CPR. He gives her drugs that he says will help stabilize her heart condition. She agrees to take them. This is the first version of the drug that Spider Lily’s parents were researching before they were silenced. Dr. Watanabe monitors her for the next couple of days and then leaves for The Great War where he serves as a combat medic. Spider Lily is so grateful that she dedicates the rest of her life to helping and saving others. She feels a bit lost without Dr. Watanabe and wants to find him but cannot, even after The Great War. Her brother died in The Great War after going to serve in place of her when she was drafted.

She desires friends and companionship. She desires a relationship even though she is too stubborn to admit it. She desires to be loved by someone since there was no one to love her throughout all her life. She desires to live like Dr. Watanabe and use the life he gave her to help others, regardless of affiliation

She wants to find Dr. Watanabe and thank him for everything that he has given her. Without him, she feels like she should have no reason to keep living.
Who or what do they love?
She loved her brother, the only family she had. Now that he is gone, she has sworn to keep to herself and to not get attached to anyone. She feels that if she goes through the pain of loss one more time, she might finally break. Eventually, she and Rei will fill the holes in each other’s hearts.
What are they afraid of?
She is afraid of herself. She’s afraid of being alone and dying alone, although she is not afraid of death itself. She is afraid that killing people wastes the life that Dr. Watanabe gave her.
Why do they involve themself in this situation?
She has no choice. It was either fight for her life or live with the guilt of her brother’s death for the rest of her life; although it seems like that wasn’t so much of an option as an inevitability.

She despises war even though she is so good at it and realizes that she is too valuable. She believes that killing is wasting the life that Dr. Watanabe gave her and that without him, she should not be allowed to live.
Character reaction to different events in the game
Lily will act as Rei’s mentor. Rei looks up to Lily as both a sister figure and a best friend. They find comfort in each other and slowly let the other into their lives and their dark pasts. Lily will be there when Rei is at her breaking point and Rei will be there when Lily is at her breaking point. Eventually, the two of them will fall in love.

Mentor and leader for everyone in Alpha Pack. Eventually best friend and lover for Rei.
Nemesis
At times she will stop herself by constantly getting in her own way. At other times it will be Greed on the enemy side that will get in her way. Greed on the enemy side is a different manifestation/interpretation of the Greed that lives inside Lily.
